Frequently Asked Questions

What kinds of issues can hypnotherapy help me with?

Hypnotherapy can help with many kinds of issues such as stress management, anxiety management, pain management, breaking habits (like smoking, sugar cravings or nail-biting), improving sleep, boosting confidence, and many more. It works by helping you change negative belief and behaviour patterns into healthier ones using focused relaxation and suggestions.

Will I lose control during hypnosis?

No. At all times, you stay in control and aware of your surroundings. Hypnosis cannot make you do anything against your values, and you can end the session whenever you wish.

Is hypnotherapy safe?

Yes, hypnosis is considered safe when practiced by a qualified clinical hypnotherapist. Scientific studies show hypnotherapy has few risks and can be effective for many issues. It is not recommended for certain psychiatric conditions without medical supervision.

Can everyone be hypnotized?

Most people can experience hypnosis to some degree. The process works best when you are open to it, motivated and willing to participate.

What does a hypnosis session feel like?

Most people feel deeply relaxed, comfortable, and peaceful. You may notice changes in your breathing, muscles, or thoughts, but you remain conscious and aware. At the end of the session you usually feel refreshed and calm.

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions depends on your goals and the issues you're working on. Many people notice improvement after only one to three sessions, while others benefit from more support. Your therapist can recommend a plan tailored for you.

What happens during my first appointment?

Your first session begins with a confidential discussion about your goals and concerns, followed by an explanation of the hypnosis process. You’ll then experience a gentle, guided relaxation session in a safe and caring environment.
